Great find on Beiluoguxiang

Friday night was my first visit to Mai Bar. Very impressed. The cocktails were well-poured and well-priced. The bartenders take their time to get things just right. The environment is hutong homey with just the right touch of swank to offset the wooden tables and benches. If I had a quibble, it's that it gets packed later in the evening and not all the bartenders are created equal. Once things get busy the service declines, although the drink quality stays high. Well worth the search. Makes a nice combo night out with Modernista a few hutongs over.
