I used to love great leap. Really love it.

Now I am just extremely dissapointed, since they've opened the new location everything has changed, their staff are now ALL chinese, who speak little to no english. My props out to Jose, the manager of #6. I always love seeing him smiling behind the bar, he is so friendly, and really knows his stuff. #12 is a bloody nightmare everytime I go there. I get 4 waitresses asking me how many, and where I'd like to sit, they all run off, and don't even come back! They are rude, unintelligent, and can't speak english. I speak chinese, thats not the issue, but when I'm with people who can't speak chinese, I expect AN ENGLISH SPEAKER. I want a foreigner who UNDERSTANDS my beer to serve it to me, not some low wage chinese idiot! I understand they know this is an issue, but where is the change? It's certainly not noticable. Hire some foreigners already! Right, no self respecting foreigner wants to work for that little of pay.

Now, the food. The first time I went, when #12 first opened, the food was delicious. Now, I would rather go to McDonalds and get a better burger, for a cheaper price. The burgers always create the biggest lake of grease I have ever seen drip from a burger, which I'm sorry if you're American, but thats just F'n disgusting. I wanted a burger, not a greasy mess and a ruined shirt. Then theres the wait times, and the fact that the waitresses NEVER KNOW WHOSE FOOD is in their hand, they go to every bloody table and ask whos food it is. GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER. I went with 4 people once, three of us got the same thing, the other person got the lamb burger. The three of us got ours, and then we waited another 30 minutes for my friends food(after already waiting 30 for ours). We were all finished, and my friend was almost in tears. SERIOUSLY. If you know anything about working in a kitchen, its that ALL the food should be SERVED TOGETHER. If you are serving foreigners, this is a basic F'n principal!

So I say, take your 200 kuai that you would spend on a greasy dinner and sometimes flat beer, and spend it somewhere else.

There are so many better options, so take them.
