Review of 96 Cafe
4

I visited the cafe this afternoon and I liked it a lot. It has multiple levels, outlets, and decent wi-fi. I definitly plan to return in the future.

The food selection is not stunningly fantastic, which is true for most cafes in Beijing. Nontheless, there is a variety of food, coffee, tea, alcohol, and desserts on the menu. The menu is in both English and in Chinese, and the prices are not too high compared to most other cafes that I've been to in Beijing (25RMB for a cup of milk tea, 20RMB for a coke, about 35 for a plate of spagetti). I had a cheesecake and it was quite tasty.

The decoration inside is not so fancy. It looks a little bit like an old victorian mansion, and the colors inside are quite dull and the curtains are somewhat antique-looking.

I most enjoyed how spacious the inside was. Lots of seating on the second floor, including several couches arrnaged around a TV. It is also very close to a Subway station (Zhangzizhonglu) and easy to find. If someone wanted to organize a book club or some similar group, this would be a great location to hold it at.
