Totally agree with the previous reviewer.

Went in for a couple of drinks before setting off on a long journey back across town.

Was treated with utter contempt by the woman behind the bar (owner's wife I think). Had a Jing A draft then asked for a Konig and said “I'll pay now if that's okay?” After looking at me as though a piece of s**t she said “Are you sick?”... sorry?... she then realised her mistake and said “Oh... I thought you were him (points at another foreigner who looks nothing like me)you white people all look the same” None of this said jokingly or with a smile. Lovely customer service. I will never return and I will certainly implore friends and colleagues to never set foot in there.

hahahahahahahah ! The owner, my wife, is now wondering if you are a 'real man'.. or a big ol pussy. You race home directly after your visit to Trouble Bar and write a review, which we find weird, instead of having balls to tell us in person. You know, like when you felt offended by the joke between Jing A man, you, me & the owner. But you laughed anyways. So come on back, I'll buy you a beer, and lets talk about how you can become a real man. We'll leave the owner out of it so she doesn't hurt your pussy again.

I did say to you your staff were offensive as I was leaving. You didn't seem interested.

Anyway,a response to customer complaints that says more about you than anything else.

You might want to dwell on why you only have two reviews, both negative, whereas your competitors like Great Leap and The Local have tons of great reviews.

the beijinger is a trolling sight.. reviews are worthless here. so do your best..!

and like GLB and THE local.. your next hamburger is free on your next visit with your purchase of a beer. !

hahaha

peanuts!

WOW! That is mature! Your response clearly shows your lack of professionalism. I have never been to Trouble Bar before and was thinking of going. But, based on your response to a customer review/complaint, I don't think I will go.

I have to agree with RadioDJ. When I saw the first negative review, I thought the guy had it coming for slagging your bar. I was looking forward to going and trying out some nice IPAs. However, you're not doing yourself any favours by being so obnoxious. It seems like you pride yourself on your bar, your selection of beers and how you differ from places like heaven. The attitude you give off in these reviews makes it seem like you are just some ignorant bartender though.

Since The Beijinger is just a trolling site, more discerning readers might want to check out the feedback on City Weekend.

Oops!Similar complaints about service there too.

Wow! Where is you guys sense of humor? Can't take a joke?

I'm the reviewer of the last first one. I can admit that my review wasn't the most articulate, driven my the frustration of my experience at the bar. It's nice to know that I haven't been the only person in this position. The comments written my the trouble bar account exactly highlight the problems they appear to have speaking with customers. A very important part of the hospitality industry focuses on customer service. I've worked behind a bar in Manchester in UK where I was dealing with hundreds of people at a busy nightclub, and I've never treated anyone like I was there. It seems a strange choice of industry to go into if they are treating people the way they have with purpleaki and myself. I don't actuallly care about the situation now, I'm leaving Beijing early next year, but the idea of the bar is great, you just need to learn how to treat your money maker (the customers) better.
