During our time at the restaurant there was only an older man and women working in the restaurant then a younger guy in the kitchen. That meant the older couple were rushing around trying to do everything for everyone. It took a fair while to get a menu, to order food, and to get more drinks, as everyone was in the kitchen! In the end, we ordered the grilled tilapia, a green vegetable i'd never seen before, shredded fried potato cake, yunnan cheese and another diced vegetable and meat dish.

Firstly, the food that we got was very good. I especially liked the fish and the potato dish. The green vegetable we got was recommended and, again, it was really nice but the portion was quite small. The yunnan cheese was interesting but not that great. The prices of the dishes are more expensive than in the BJer article but still not 'expensive' as such.

Anyway, at one point the guy came and threw this dish down and walked off. It didn't look like anything we had ordered so when he came back a few minutes later we asked what it was. He mumbled something without turning around so we asked again and he told us. We told him we didn't order this so he said 'yes, you did' and tried to just ignore us essentially. He was trying to tell us the dish was good so we should just take it. In the end they took it back to the kitchen ... then 10 minutes later, the women brought the same dish out again and put it on the table!!

The man again started irritably telling us we had ordered this dish. He left so we went to find the women and looked at the menu. Essentially, they hadn't taken the order for the diced vegetable dish and had just put some random dish down instead. The women was much nicer about it and said she could take the dish off the bill but still insisted we had ordered it. We hadn't even seen the dish they brought us on the menu and all 4 of our group confirmed we never said this dish.

Food good, service not so good. If you go, review what you've ordered before they go away and make everything.
