I stumbled across this restaurant while walking through the XingFuCun area, decided to take a chance and try the food. What a surprising treat this was. The menu is simple but varied, I really do appreciate that the menu doesn't try to be all over the place with the food. I had the Foie Gras, Bouillabaise, and the Pumpkin Spice Creme Brulee.

The Foie Gras was quite well made- not overly salty and the crustini was a flavourful and complimented the spread well. The Bouillabaise was great as well, I find decent seafoon can be harder to come by for a good price and the Bouillabaise was flavourful and well cooked. The dessert was excellent too, not too sweet and the burnt bits were extra tasty. What really set this restaurant apart from the others was the atmosphere and decor, it's a quiet little eatery that doesn't strive to be something it isn't. Simple and good food seems to be the mantra that Kuan's is going for and they've certainly succeeded in that aspect.

I'll be back for sure!
