Talking Tunes: Holy F*ck, Akon's Coming Back!

Nope, not just gratuitous employment of a curse word, Canadian electro splicers Holy Fuck are Beijing-bound as part of Yugong Yishan's "The World is Sinking, We Are Celebrating" celebration on December 21. The night of experimental electronica, presented by VICE China, will also feature the cream of the local noise rock scene including Chui Wan, The Dyne and White+.

And Akon is on his way back. Aliaune Damala Bouga Time Bongo Puru Nacka Lu Lu Lu Badara Akon Thiam (really) is headed our way with a new album to tour. He'll be at MasterCard Center on January 17, asking the young ones to "Smack That" and telling them how lonely he is.

• Irish songbird Cara Dillon is at Mako Live House tomorrow night (Dec 13).

• Temple hosts a Beatlemania Christmas Party on Saturday night (Dec 14).

• Beijing post-rockers Pentatonic drop their new album on Saturday (Dec 14) at Yugong Yishan with support from Glow Curve and Hua Lun.
