Ready to Rumble: Shuangjing Showdown Returns Saturday with Boxing, Barbecue, and Pizza Cup Discounts

Shuangjing's two biggest weekends of the year kick off on Saturday with the seventh installment of Shuangjing Showdown, the semi-annual festival of pugilism that features boxing and Muay Thai, and of course, barbecue and music.

Twelve three-round bouts featuring many of Beijing's top Chinese and foreign amateur fighters are on the card, representing most of Beijing's top striking gyms. In between, enjoy barbecue, cold beers, and DJ music. There's also a lucky draw featuring numerous prizes, including a shark dive for two from SinoScuba.

Shuangjing Showdown attendees also get RMB 10 off entrance to this weekend's Pizza Fest at Wangjing Soho when they present their Showdown wristband, so be sure to attend both.

Presale tickets are available now for only RMB 99 (for info, contact James Oliver on WeChat: JamesOliver), or RMB 150 at the door. The Beijinger is proud to once again be the media sponsor for Shuangjing Showdown.

The Showdown takes place at 22 Art Street Park, Pingguo Beiqu (across from Plan B Bar & Grill) on Saturday, September 16, from 1-6pm.
