5 Things to Taste, Smell, Touch, Hear, and See, May 22-24

May 24-25: Unlimited Dim Sum Returns to Jing Yaa Tang
As the old adage goes, the whole is greater than the sum of the parts, and with unlimited dim sum at Jing Yaa Tang, the whole of your stomach is sure to feel greater after you pack it full of delicious dim sum parts. May 22-23: Japanese Whisky Night at Puxuan
Put your nose through the peaty wringer (in a good way) at Puxuan's new Japanese whisky promotion nights on Friday and Saturday. The promotion, which runs until the end of June, encompasses some of Japan's finest drams, with every other glass served on the house. Fri-Sat, 6pm-close. Puxuan

May 23: Learn How to Make a Bicycle Out of Bamboo
Get your hands dirty with some clean, reusable materials this Saturday at Maker Bamboo Bicycle’s Workshop. Participants will learn about these incredibly eco-friendly bikes as well as put the tools used to make them to the test, creating your own bamboo cellphone holder. May 22-24: Folk Rock Weekend at Jianghu Bar
As we reported earlier this week, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism has officially released new guidelines for the gradual reopening of livehouses and entertainment venues. One of the first spots to jump on the literal bandwagon is Jianghu Bar, who will be hosting a weekend full of folk-infused tunes, starting with Mongolian rockers Tulegur on Friday. Until Jun 14: Silent Spring by Guo Jing, Exhibition
If three months of virtual lockdown showed us anything, it’s that the familiarity of everyday life can become so uncanny that it teeters on the absurd and surreal. Whereas David Lynch mastered the technique on-screen, painter Guo Jing commits similar scenes to canvas. His paintings focus intensely on otherwise banal subjects until they become unrecognizable, propelling the viewer into a fantasy world rooted deeply in reality. Tue-Sun, 9am-5pm. Red Gate Gallery
