Celebrate 65 Years of Art at the Tsinghua Fine Art Academy Anniversary Show

There’s a very special exhibition going on at Tsinghua’s Academy of Fine Arts (formerly the Institute of Fine Arts and Design), and it’s geared around celebrating the academy’s 65th birthday. But if you haven’t seen it already, you’d best hurry, as the show closes on Nov 16!

The exhibition, currently being hosted in the AC Art Museum inside the AC Embassy Hotel in Chaoyang district, features a smorgasbord of masterpieces from the university’s art school. This is, in other words, nearly 100 works from 65 alumni and 30 teachers and faculty.

And of the art to be found here, it's not just paintings you'll find. There’s also calligraphy, sculptures, photographs, digital art, and plenty of other mediums as well.

The show is geared toward highlighting some of the school’s most celebrated alumni, as well as newly graduated students who have just handed the torch to the school’s next generation at the academy.

With this in mind, the event is filled with big art names coming out of Tsinghua, making it a worth-while checkout while it lasts. Originally the show, which opened on Oct 31, was slated to end on Nov 6, but it’s since been extended until next Tuesday (thank the art gods for that one).

That being said, time is ticking, so head out this weekend or get there by Tuesday before it’s gone!
