Celebrate the Year of the Horse With These CNY Beer Gift Boxes
The Year of the Horse is fast approaching, and what better way to herald Chinese New Year than with a tasty beer in hand? Whether you want to treat yo'self, or a friend, here are a few Beijing breweries that are offering special Chinese New Year-themed beer packages just for the occasion!
Slowboat
To welcome in the Year of the Horse, Slowboat has launched a Chinese New Year Gift Box (RMB 198) with special horse-themed cans. The set includes six 330ml cans of the following brews: Moon Jelly DDH Double IPA, Monkey's Fist IPA, Drink Like a Fish Pilsner, Garden of Eden DDH Sour Hazy IPA, Youyou Lele Cheese Tea Beer: Mango, and Refined State Cucumber Sea Salt Gose. It also comes with a limited-edition horse-themed Slowboat glass. Jing-A
Jing-A has quite a few different New Year Gift Boxes available. First up is a box of six 330ml cans of their special New Year brew, Bountiful Harvest (RMB 138.6), a DDH Modern West Coast IPA. Then there is the Craft Beer Box (RMB 138.6), which is a set of six 330ml cans of Bountiful Harvest, The Airpocalypse, Triple Berry Nectar, Stewed Pear Soup, Breeze Mosaic and Peach Run (After Work). They've also got a gift box of two 750ml bottles of their Holiday limited edition brew, Pai Ma Beer (RMB 218.07). All of these sets come with a special set of horse-themed New Year fridge magnets.
Lastly, they've got a gift box featuring two Jing-A beers: Flying Fist DDH IPA and Hops Wonderland and two Brooklyn Brewery beers: Brooklyn Lager and The Stonewall Inn IPA. In the set, you get four 500ml cans of each, making it 12 overall, please note this set does not come with the New Year magnets. Peiping Machine
Peiping Machine has embraced a horse carousel theme for their New Year Beer Gift Boxes, which they've dubbed the "Fortune Circus". They have four to choose from and each contains 12 limited edition horse-themed 500ml cans of either Fruit Punch Hazy IPA (RMB 288), Dragon Well Spring Tea Wheat (RMB 180), Yutang Royal Rice Lager (RMB 144), or 100 Hops Hidden Deep IPA (RMB 216).
