Hidden gem of the Hutongs

This place is great, I'd hit it up more if my electro-bike's battery hadn't been jacked and its proximity wasn't in the nether-approximation somewhere between "cab it" and "walk it". It often hosts great shows and novel music, has a number of drink deals, is pretty cozy (though somebody needs to swap that fuzzball table for a cigarette machine) and attracts a mixed crowd. The only drawbacks are its odd layout and lighting can insulate the vibe, along with its majority-Chinese patronage having a hell of a lot of trouble of getting appropriately rowdy for some really fun bands.

If I were Jesus, I'd kill the lights, torch the football table, and toss in an American-style karaoke night to break the 4th-wall.

I believe it's a Chinese family that owns the place, and they're great fun. Even the ma that works the bar is a Tigerful of hilarity and cheer.

Love it
