Lantung 兰棠
Owned by the same people behind Lotus Blue in Houhai, this three-floor bar, lounge and restaurant in Solana is a breezy retreat that specializes in laid-back, lakeside lounging and spicy Thai cuisine. By night, the large lakeside seating and plush couches are perfect for a drink or two. Choose from "Thai tapas" including curry rice balls, shrimp skewers and spicy beef spring rolls. Drinks include infused vodkas (RMB 110 for a bottle) and fruit cocktails like "The Lantung," made from pineapple, lychee and vodka.

Went this past week and really was nothing special. Food was somewhat cold and service was rather slow. Quite expensive but I suppose thats the norm for the area.

Not even quite sure where to begin describing the disaster of an evening we experienced in this establishment...
We arrived as a party of nine (Chinese and foreign alike) so were quite surprised with the utter lack of proper communication experienced. As language should not have been a problem, we must attribute it to poor (or no) training of the waitstaff.
Our drinks arrived at nearly ten minute intervals, and the water had to be requested nearly five times and finally arrived 40 minutes later.
The food was mediocre at best, portions were small, many dishes were lukewarm and our requests to have it reheated were refused. We were also told to dish out and serve the soup to our group ourselves.
Near the end, the whole of groups' mood had plummeted and we just tried to scarf the food down so we could depart the premises as quickly as possible.
It would be difficult to find a single redeeming factor of this evening.

Nice decor and rooftop......but that's about it.
Went there last Friday night...place empty..noone spoke English...staff were not wel trained....food is supposed to be authentic Thai and chef from Chiang Mai....orderd a few dishes....spring rolls are frozen..say no more..wouldn't give the chicken to my dogs....
Suggest they get better food, staff who speak Englih ( were they all off on a Friday night ? )...Maybe the Sat all you can drink deal for 100 from 4 to 10 is worth it ( if you can get a drink ) but skip the food

went back again and we all had some great food, very fresh and tasty. Romantic place to take a date. About 260rmb for food and drinks for 3 people.

You can not go wrong visiting Lantung.
4 different places you can eat, drink or be merry.
The staff is bi-lingual and they are very professional in
all manners. Lately all the stars can be seen from their rooftop locaion.
Check it out, Solana is hard to find but well worth it if you have never been!
