YOU CAN NOT BREATH COZ OF SMOKE IN THIS BAR ,NO AIR CIRCULATION AT ALL AND VERY SMALL DANCING AREA..MOSTLY KOREAN STUDENTS THERE...

i like going there when i know i will be with some friends who dont really love to dance...the music is not too loud and the dance floor always have a couple seats for my friends when i do wanna dance so they can sit and enjoy the music and drink while wait for me...but if u wanna have a real night out fun, this is defnitely not the place to go...

Too many shy guys. Nobody volunteers to dance when the music is on, and the music is really pretty boring.

A favorite of several of my friends, Propaganda has slowly grown on me. Although the dance floor could only be described as “cozy” by a real estate agent, Propaganda has a very American-college club type vibe, with fairly cheap drinks and no cover. In addition, the music –which typically features top 40 hits but also some good dance remixes – is fairly consistent and there is almost always a big, lively crowd.

Bottom line – if you’re reminiscing on your college clubbing days or are looking for a cheap club to hit up on the weekend, then go to Propaganda.

Propaganda is, simply put, a really enjoyable club with consistent music, crowd, alcohol, and atmosphere. I usually go for the Wednesday open bar but I've also been on Saturday, and it's equally packed and enjoyable each time. The alcohol is, at least in my experience, definitely not fake, and especially if you get there early for the open bar the drinks have a good amount of alcohol in them. The dance floor is small enough to make even about 20 people on the dance floor enough (though there are obviously far more usually) and the music is consistently good (though I don't know who the DJs are, so if they change that might change too). One nice thing about this place is that the staff is really nice. The manager gave a friend of mine a free bottle of alcohol on July 4th, and they also play dice with you at the bar if you're playing. Overall, this is the best club I've been to in BJ, and I'd definitely recommend it to any clubgoer.

Dirty and Gross are the the two best words to describe the propaganda. Its free to get in everyday except Wednesday. However, its only free for white people. Wednesday is 50rmb for guys and 30 for girls. All you can drink. However, the drinks you get are some of the worst you can find. You personally have to go out of your way to find something that cheap. Most just go there to dance because it is one of the few clubs in Wudaokou and its located near the other bars. Not much of anything except a low-end club.

This bar is aimed toward a foreign student crowd, with cheap drinks and pop music, its the place to be if you miss the foreign club scene. On Wednesday nights, for a 30 kuai cover girls, and a 50 kuai guys, there are free drinks all night long. The hangover the next morning may remind you of how cheap the alcohol is, but the club is always packed.

Having been going to propaganda(ppg) for on and off 3 years now i think its quite fitting i write the first review.

Of course im in love with the place otherwise i wouldnt have gone there for so long time.

but i started to notice its changing.

anyway for those who have never been there:

2 floors with upper floor being a bar like place and the lower floor housing the dancefloor.

Its directly connected to a bar called Labamba which takes up the 2 floors above it. You can get happy hour drinks there and mexican/italian okay fingerfood(nothing amazing but does the job).

Note: When the weather is nice the whole area outside ppg is crowded with people too(there is a 7-11 next door for those too cheap to buy drinks inside, and a pizza place).

You can buy 串 and that cheap street hotpot outside too.

So lets talk about the place:

The whole place is more for students and NOT for people who are already working. so there are way less tables (probably no more then 10 on both floors) then in other clubs.

The age group is also way lower, so dont bother if you are above 30. Perfect is around 20. you might even see 15 years old in there on some occasions.

So who goes there?
Students from the area around. Mostly koreans and foreigeners and chinese girls that want to make first experiences.

The good and the bad:

Cheap cheap booze.
bad: really fake and really gives you the worst of headaches.

friday/saturday: supercrowded.
bad: Cant move or dance... SOO crowded.

Easy girls.
bad: young stupid and really annoying unexperienced chicks. for serious girls: every idiot who wouldnt DARE to talk to you back home .... in ppg he is hiting on you....

GOOOOOOD HIPHOP. basically there is no alternative to ppg in beijing if you want good hiphop.
bad: sometimes at night they let the rookie DJ take over... which might end up in 1-2 hours of crap music...

Free entrance................ if your caucasian or female.
expect to pay up to 100-200 kuai if your not(some drink coupons included).

Wednesday： Open bar night for 80 kuai/30 kuai. more if you look asian.
BAD: a lot of wasted people puking everywhere.

So why is it changing?

Way less fights then before. i remember when fights where the most common thing ever and you could pound on the other guys face for like 5 minutes before the first security guy even showed up. NOW you wont be able to start at all because the security will already be there "escorting" you out.
GOOD (?)

The guys/girls level is getting realllllly bad recently(the last... 3-5 months). Expect to be dancing with a 5 vs 1 ratio at about 1am. so if you go there for a a girl... go early or dont bother. whats left at 2 is left there for a good reason.

If this stays this way.... god that would suck.... really hard....

so to end it... amazing place IF you fit in :)

I like this place as one gets to get feel a decent crowd at not so expensive prices and somehow the place has life especially on weekends.

I specially like to go a bit early like 8pm and settle down and then start rocking with some of my friends.

I also can manage to speak a little chinese to the chinese (customers like me) girls around or the waiters and practice my chinese.The waiters to chat a lot if you have the inclination.

Music is just fine ,since my last 3 visits.

I have started liking this place.
