This popular Shanghai-based restaurant chain has a menu rooted in burgers. The “Blue Frog Burger” ranks right up there among the best in the city, and there are a host of other patty-based options available. Drinks are buy-one-get-one-free during the 4-8pm daily happy hour; on Mondays, that also includes a buy-one-get-one-free burger deal. And American style breakfast is available all week. Other culinary possibilities include Italian-style pasta dishes and Mexican options – a reflection of the American melting pot. Decent Wi-Fi. Voted "Outstanding American" and "Outstanding Burger" in the Beijinger's 2011 Reader Restaurant Awards.

User reviews of Blue Frog 蓝蛙
Don't know how can this venue has 4-star ratings. Food is not even mediocre and expensive as hell. If the prices were cut down in half then it would be acceptable but in this case no way. I'm no cheap and will pay for good food but this is a rip-off.
For these prices, I expect vegetables from an organic source or even local farmers not from the super market.
Service is just like everywhere in Beijing I've been. Pretty bad, but I am used to it.
Been two times and never again.
These burgers are tasty, but go on a Monday for their 2 for 1 deal. Otherwise, it's just too expensive.
But man, these burgers are good. I usually get mine medium rare, and they are super juicy, with lots of flavor. The Parma Ham one is by far my favorite. When I go with my bf, we always get a side of chili (10 rmb each) for the fries that come with the burger. Also, last time we had the sweet potato fries that come with a chili (?) mayo and they were so addictive! I just wanted to eat those all night!
The 2 for 1 happy hour is also a good deal, since drinks are a bit expensive. The frozen mango margarita is a must!
On a Monday, we usually spend around 200 rmb for two burgers, 2 beers, and 2 cocktails.
The service is also really great. The servers are friendly and attentive, and willing to check for special requests. The decor and ambience is nice, though sometimes the music can be a bit loud.
I went Blue Frog with my girlfriend two times and both were very average. The burger is too pricey even if you go with the monday offer " pay one get one free" and the quality nothing special. The patty was very dry instead of juicy and the cheese was normal. I dont know how they got into the top of the Beijinger burger cup...
Blue Frog has some tasty food. Made with thick patties, the burgers are meaty and juicy. After going to several Blue Frogs, I think the flavor of most of the menu items is pretty much the same as what you get in most casual dining chains in the US. Maybe a little better than Denny's.
But this is China, where good beef is more expensive than in the US. And thus, everything is priced accordingly.
