The owner of this Shuangjing restaurant cut her teeth at Steak and Eggs; she’s now created a menu of her own offering a sizeable selection of classically greasy North American and Tex-Mex fare like cheeseburgers, roast beef melt subs and chicken or beef fajitas. All-day breakfast specials including buttermilk pancakes with two eggs, plus bacon, sausage or ham. Generously sized beef burritos come wrapped in suitably soft, yet resilient tortillas, with assorted vegetables and “Lily’s spices.” The beef nachos aren’t quite like those in Texas, but they’re entirely edible by Beijing standards.

User reviews of Lily's American Diner 莉莉斯
Getting a stomachache after eating their burger is not the worst part, The service was horrible there, The staff argued with westerners who sat across of me and it seems like regardless that they try to provide chinese/"american" food they have staff that don't speak English and treat westerners like shit. Read other Reviews and this one and be warned! Boycott this place guys!
After getting sick about two times I discussed it with a friend who works in the meat industry in Beijing and he told me that Lillies restaurants get their meat from one of the cheapest and least sanitary factories in Beijing! This really made me angry as the prices are high so I thought that the quality would be better! So Joe and Lilly shame on you! Everybody spread the news! they are feeding us some of the shittiest meat out there!
This place must be under new management, surely?
As vegetarians, Lily's has been a fantastic place for us to go for dinner, with a good choice of delicious and well-priced dishes we could enjoy. However, we turned up at their Sanlitun location two nights ago to find many items had been struck from their menu. Items including bean tacos, hummus and feta sandwich (or 'hero' as they call it) and their veggie burger are all gone. Now there is one pasta dish, hummus and guacamole for vegetarians. That's it.
This doubly makes no sense at all as none of these items apart from the veggie burger patty would need to be stocked specially - they can all be assembled from ingredients they need on hand for other dishes.
The place also used to be spotless, but the toilets were filthy - yet staff were just standing around.
We were so disappointed and would have left immediately if we hadn't been with other people.
Lily's, you've just lost two long-time supporters.
Girls deleted me on wechat to avid taking orders,,also has spoiled ingredients and hairs on food TWICE!! dirty place and cooks and horrible servers and service
I used to place delivery orders and I stopped because of some ingredients being spoiled! and also, girl that I ordered from deleted me on wechat to avoid the responsibility of replying to messages to take orders, and replying to my comments on the food... plus their English is really bad.... go to grinders instead..a few stores down
I ordered spanish omelette with sausage, and pancakes.
They serve German sausage rather than the kind of sausage that you'd expect at an American breakfast place. That's okay, but the sausage doesn't taste good. The hashbrown is way worse than McDonald's and the ham tastes like cardboard.
The omelette is bad too. The pancakes are good.
The price is remarkably high.
I was surprised that a place like this got packed on Saturday afternoon. I'd rather eat McD's RMB 30 breakfast plate than their food. It seems to me that the only thing they've got is the location. It's way worse (not even comparable) than old-time American diners like Steak & Eggs. I'm pretty sure Steak & Eggs can sell even if it were in the US. But it's so hard to picture Lily's American Diner doing that because no one would eat its food unless it's pro bono. Quite an illustration of the downfall of Beijing's food scene.
