You get highly customized service here at carol and luc. the fit is pretty good. the customer service is amazing. the lady that works there is so nice.
the fabrics are okay but i always suspect if it is indeed 100% wool. its located in the DRC(where the foreign diplomats live) so i guess they have a very large foreign customer base. this gives me a little bit more confidence than the yashow tailors who work in a counterfeit market.
I have shirts and a suit made there.
I mean it is good but I feel it falls short of the elite tailors or brands. I have a $500 USD off the rack suit that just looks sharper(it might be the materials or the cut) the shirt was also a bit short(being cheap to save costs, make sure you specify the length)

never the less, i highly recommend them. they are 100% professional and the product is good.

You are correct in general. But I usually go to the location in Lido. It's a bit bigger and just seems nicer. Their wool is not 100%. It's definitely a blend because the material wrinkles quite easily compared to 100% wool and it does not breathe well at all.

A $500 off the rack suit will look sharper because it's better material. However, to pull off a suit you need nice leather shoes (not plastic ones) and a nicely fitted suit. They did a pretty good job for me but I rather buy a suit off the rack or go all out and go to the tailors around Liangmaqiao and spend $600+.

The shirt prices vary and I feel they constantly try to rip me off. Even if they copy a shirt they made before, it will not be cut exactly the same. They made the copies a bit smaller for some reason. Only the most expensive shirt material looks ok. It's some synthetic blend I believe. It looks like surplus materials they bought from Thomas Pink or something.

Hong Kong tailoring is the best bargain
