I have been in Beijing long enough that this sort of thing shouldn't bother me but sometimes I just go nuts over how bad these places operate. I buy the same cheese every single time I go there so I know how much it is supposed to be. First I walk up to the cheese section in the cooler and it is a bloody mess. Cheese everywhere. I look for the cheese I like and it is labeled for sale at 31.90 but when I take it to the register it comes up as 43.90. Now, jack the price, fine, its their cheese, but label the cheese properly. When I ask where the price is located for this cheese on the shelf I get the standard "mei you". I pick up another cheese and ask how much this one is and... yep, mei you. In fact none of the cheese is labeled as it should be.

This is now what happens everytime I try to buy cheese there and I have asked them about this but of course I get a blank stare. I know I should just take my business elsewhere but they are the only ones that have some of the foreign foods I want and it is rght next to my place. I guess I shouldn't mind but I think this is company policy and they are trying to take advantage of customers that don't pay attention to every single item when it goes through the register. It is underhanded and I bet they do it on many products. I know this won't change anything and I should just shrug it off but I just don't feel like being ripped off today. Anyway, watch your purchases there as they are going to rip you off if you let them.
