This place must be under new management, surely?

As vegetarians, Lily's has been a fantastic place for us to go for dinner, with a good choice of delicious and well-priced dishes we could enjoy. However, we turned up at their Sanlitun location two nights ago to find many items had been struck from their menu. Items including bean tacos, hummus and feta sandwich (or 'hero' as they call it) and their veggie burger are all gone. Now there is one pasta dish, hummus and guacamole for vegetarians. That's it.

This doubly makes no sense at all as none of these items apart from the veggie burger patty would need to be stocked specially - they can all be assembled from ingredients they need on hand for other dishes.

The place also used to be spotless, but the toilets were filthy - yet staff were just standing around.

We were so disappointed and would have left immediately if we hadn't been with other people.

Lily's, you've just lost two long-time supporters.

Wow, judgmental much?

Why do you say is OP "quite entitled" just because they are unhappy a place that used to serve the food they like, no longer does?

And I can only imagine that you have no idea what you're talking about if you say "That's potentially more work for the chef staff, more costs, more storage space etc" when OP is clearly saying that the food they used to eat there (hummus sandwiches, bean tacos) are no longer served, even though the ingredients are all available. That's no extra storage, work or cost, as the individual items are all seemingly still available with other items on the menu.

Would you been so stupid in your reply to someone who reviewed a steak house badly because it no longer served mash potatoes with its steak dishes, even if mash potatoes were available with other dishes?

Everyone is entitled to stupid opinions. But you seem to abuse that privilege.
