Meilishuo: A Shopaholic's Guide to China’s Pinterest

Yeah, yeah, there's yet another site out there that lets you share "boards" full of your favorite fashion finds, cute animals, and heartwarming sayings with an online community. What's the big deal? We're here to tell you, Meilishuo is the deal. With this Pinterest, Shopstyle, and Fashiolista doppleganger, you can pin all you want from the Chinese internet and see what others like too. And it's all just fashion. No upside down cats, no 'stache cupcakes, no wedding dresses. Well, maybe a few wedding dresses...

To get in on the Meilishuo action, you just need to login with your Weibo or QQ account. Don't have one? No problem. Sign up to the site by pressing the zhuce (注册) button on the far right corner.

Once you're in, you're free to peruse the day's most popular items, clothes, shoes, bags, accessories, and furniture, most of which link to Taobao. You can also subscribe to other user's style boards which are organized in themed categories like European and America, Sweet and Pretty, Bohemian, Unique, Japanese, or other.

Meilishuo even goes as far to have its own section for makeup. Check out the most popular makeup or shop for makeup products. Use the match tab to see other user’s photos of how they styled their outfits. You can also browse under the style mavens tab, which features professional stylists, editors, and makeup artists.

One thing that really makes Meilishuo stand out from its English-language counterparts is that you can easily take a look at the latest collections and products for specific brands. More style boards, inspired by the hottest trends in fashion magazines, can be found in this section.

The last two tabs are saved for promotions and sales and a collection of the most popular stores where users are doing their shopping.

If you're a Pinterest pro, then you probably had your boards set up before you even finished reading this post. Don't let us keep you. Get pinning.
