Halfway There: Day One of the Beijinger 2015 Pizza Cup Launch Event Wraps

The ovens are finally cooling down after an extremely successful first day at Galaxy SOHO for the Beijinger’s 2015 Pizza Cup Launch Party. Over 3,700 people queued as long as an hour to come and sample the delicious ‘zas churned out by our 19 pizza vendors, in addition to food, drink and desserts from several others.

Below we’ve compiled a few of the day’s best photos so you know what you have to look forward to on Sunday, Day 2 of the Launch Event.

On Day 2 you can once again sample some of the best pizzas in town, all in one place, drink to your heart's content, lick gelato to sooth your taste buds between pizza bouts, enjoy live music, and plenty activities fit for the whole family.

If you were unable to come visit Saturday, have no fear as after a few hours of cheesy dreams we’ll be back up and running Sunday at 11am for day two! Extra bonus: there's a cool air front coming in tonight that's due to push the pollution that marred today away.

A big thanks to all who came out on Saturday to make the event what it was. Get home safe and head back for more Sunday from 11am-8pm!

There is a RMB 10 entrance fee at the door to help with crowd control. (Tip: Best time to come if you don't want to wait too at the entrance is after 2 PM.) Pizzas and other offerings are on an individual basis by the respective vendors.

Also, a big thanks to all of our vendors: Tube Station, Bottega, Bocca Della Verita, Gung Ho! Gourmet Pizza Kitchen, Pie Squared, Pizza Express, Hutong Pizza, Pizza+, Haven, Whale's Pizza, Fly Pizza, iFresh Pizza, Loft Eatalicious, Q Mex, Yuppie Yummy (YY) Restaurant, Luga's, Andy's Craft Sausages, HA (High Altitude) Cafe, Saffron-to-Go, Vandergeeten, Fresh Juice, CHEERS, McCain Fries, and Vai Milano.

This year's Beijinger Pizza Cup Launch Party is also made possible with the help of Galaxy SOHO, Asian Express, Tube Station, Metro Radio 94.5, Violette and the Hunters, Leaves on Toast (from Harrow International School), Cousin Kippy, and Pizza Magazine Quarterly.

Unsure of how to get here? Galaxy SOHO is located just a stones-throw south of Chaoyangmen Subway – if you’re coming via subway take the southwest exit and head straight down the East Second Ring Road. Click here for a handy map.
