Pie Squared, Eatalia Score Upsets as the 2017 Pizza Cup Reaches its Final Four

Whew, that was intense! The Elite Eight of the Beijinger's 2017 Pizza Cup had plenty of surprises, including last year's runner-up, Annie's, being set aside by juggernaut Tube Station, and multi-year champion Gung Ho surprisingly meeting its demise at the hands of this year's little-pizzeria-that-could, Pie Squared in Shunyi.

Here's how it all shook out:

Eatalia sent Kro's Nest flying
Bottega laid out La Pizza
Pie Squared right angled Gung Ho
Tube Station tunneled out Annie's

Now, drumroll please: this sets up some dramatic flair as we have our 2017 Final Four matches:

The first is a throwdown between American and Italian-style pie makers, as Tube Station goes toe-to-toe vs. Bottega. Meanwhile, dark horses Pie Squared and Eatalia vie to race each other for the right to enter the final match.
