Oct 16: Gung Ho! Celebrates World Food Day

Head over to Gung Ho! on Oct 16 to mark World Food Day with deals that champion human and plant healthy eats and zero food waste. Get 30 percent off all vegan food items and selected drinks (including Jane Goodall organic coffee, Zealong organic tea, and Papp's kombucha) and get a voucher for 20 percent off drinks when you finish all the food on your plate. World Food Day honors the date of the founding of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in 1945. This year, World Food Day calls for action across sectors to make healthy and sustainable diets affordable and accessible to everyone. At the same time, it hopes to raise awareness about what exactly it is that we're putting on our plates every day.

Hulu launches Spectacularly Spooky Halloween Menu

We always love a holiday-themed menu, especially when it's as fun and creative as the items Hulu have conjured for their Spectacularly Spooky Halloween. From deviled eggs topped with creepy critters (RMB 38) to gravlax rolls shaped like fingers (RMB 58) to bat wings (don't worry, they're actually chicken wings colored with squid ink, RMB 58), brave diners can expect to encounter plenty of spooky treats and creatures like skeletons, vampires, and ghosts. While we're sure this menu will be a hit with kids, adults aren't left out either with Halloween-themed cocktails like the I Put a Spell On You (RMB 65), a negroni served in a smoking skull. The menu is available at Hulu and Merci from Oct 17 to Nov 3. If you go for lunch or dinner between Oct 30 and Nov 2 you will also have the opportunity to be treated by Hulu's special zombie nurses.

Oct 23: Guest chef Rey Guerrero at Mosto

Mosto and the Embassy of Colombia are teaming up to host award-winning celebrity Chef Rey Guerrero for an exclusive kitchen takeover at Mosto on Wednesday, Oct 23. Chef Rey's food draws a unique combination of the Colombian Pacific style, which utilizes richly spiced seafood and the bounty of the rainforest, and his Afrocolombiana roots. The result is rich, flavorful spreads reflective of the diverse culture of Colombia. Together with his partner Claudia Pelaez, he owns Restaurante Rey Guererro, Sabor Pacific. Chef Rey's five-course menu will be priced at RMB 388 per person (vegetarian and vegan options available) with the choice to add free-flow house red, white, and sparkling for an additional RMB 188. Reservations are essential; to book, call 138 1132 5451 or email contact@mostobj.com.
