Swing Dance, German Cinema Fest and a New Free-Flow Deal

This week, we've got a swing dance class and live band show, the Festival of German Cinema kicks off and Q MEX has a new free-flow deal.

Dance – Cat's Corner Little Big Band at The Bricks

This Tuesday (Oct 4), The Bricks will have a special live show plus a beginner-friendly swing dance taster class. The swing dance class will be led by Misha and Jingchoo, who will be teaching attendees some of the basic steps. After the class, the Cat's Corner Little Big Band, led by trumpeter and professional swing dancer Misha Wu, takes over the stage with timeless tunes from the swing era.

The swing dance class will be taking place at The Bricks from 8.30pm and Cat's Corner Little Big Band will put on a live show from 9.30pm. Tickets for the class and the show are RMB 120, tickets for the show only are RMB 80, you can read more about the event here.

Watch – Festival of German Cinema

From Nov 7–16, the Festival of German Cinema returns to Beijing with 12 acclaimed films screening at Broadway Cinematheque Beijing (MOMA), Palace Cinema (CWTC), and the Goethe-Institut China. Presented by German Films, alongside the Goethe-Institut China and Broadway Cinemas, with support from the German Embassy and Consulates, the festival offers a curated lineup celebrating the best of contemporary German cinema. Along with film screenings, there are some special events planned as well, like online Q&As and on-site talks. You can see the full schedule in the posters below.

The Festival of German Cinema will be taking place from Nov 7–16 at Broadway Cinematheque Beijing (MOMA), Palace Cinema (CWTC), and the Goethe-Institut China. For screenings at Broadway Cinemas, tickets are required and you can get them by scanning the QR code below. For screenings at the Goethe-Institut China, admission is free of charge and on a first-come, first-served basis. You can read more about the festival here.

Drink – New Free-Flow Deal at Q MEX
