Win Free Tickets: The Hutong Art Festival is Happening This Weekend

The seasons may be changing but the weather is still prime for outdoor festivals, giving Beijingers ample opportunity to make up for all the fun times that fell by the wayside this summer. Next on the docket is one of the best events to dip your toes into the local art scene, the Hutong Art Festival (HAF), held Sep 26-27 at Big Small Coffee on Beiluoguxiang. What’s more, the Beijinger is giving away ten free tickets to the fest!

Of course, a free ticket to the HAF is more than just another opportunity to mingle under the sun – it’s also a chance to meet the 40+ independent artists and cooperatives who will be vending – and given that you'll be saving on the entry fee, you'll have that much more RMB to spend on prints, illustrations, comics, and more.

“After the pandemic, artists are super excited to share their work made during the difficult times," says Fei Fei, printmaker and founder of Tiny Orca Press. "Some of the vendors this year also participated in the last Hutong Art Fest. Their work has been growing steadily and new products have been added.”
