Bring BBQ to Your Door with These Delivery Services and Sets

Summer is here, which means that it’s officially barbecue season! In your home country it’s probably pretty easy to get a hold of everything you need to have yourself a good old barbecue. In the UK you’ll see disposable barbecues on sale basically everywhere. But where exactly can you get a hold of this stuff in Beijing? Well, luckily there are a few different and very easy options to bring everything you need right to your door.

Guo Jing BBQ

This door-to-door barbecue service is something pretty special, they will actually come to your home and cook a whole lamb for you in the traditional Mongolian style. Yes, you read that right. An entire lamb cooked for you in your own home! Along with lamb they also offer steak, pork and a variety of side dishes to accompany the meal.

BBQ Steak Set (RMB 3480, group discount RMB 2480): roughly 11kg steak (serves 15-17 people), eight cold vegetable side dishes, table and chairs for 20 people and an umbrella, a Mongolian ceremony.

Whole BBQ Lamb:

Set One (RMB 2880, group discount RMB 2380): roughly 13.5kg lamb (serves 15-18 people), eight cold vegetable side dishes, table and chairs for 20 people and an umbrella, a Mongolian ceremony.
Set Two (RMB 2580, group discount RMB 2080): roughly 9kg lamb (serves 10-13 people), six cold vegetable side dishes, table and chairs for 15 people and an umbrella, a Mongolian ceremony.
Set Three (RMB 2380, group discount RMB 1880): roughly 7kg lamb (serves 15-18 people), six cold vegetable side dishes, table and chairs for ten people and an umbrella, a Mongolian ceremony.
Set Four (RMB 6880, group discount RMB 5880): roughly 13.5kg lamb (serves 15-18 people), eight cold vegetable side dishes, two pots of tea, four portions of yoghurt, table and chairs for 20 people and an umbrella, a Mongolian ceremony, 20 pieces of Mongolian silk (哈达 hādá), morin khurrr (traditional Mongolian instrument) player, Mongolian singer, one hour of service.

BBQ Pork Set (RMB 2380, group discount RMB 1980): roughly 7kg pork (serves eight - ten people), six cold vegetable side dishes, table and chairs for 15 people and an umbrella.

Five Blessing BBQ Set (RMB 2380, group discount RMB 1980): Sunit lamb leg, Sunit lamb chop, grassfed steak, whole chicken, whole rabbit (serves 15 people), six cold vegetable side dishes, table and chairs for 15 people and an umbrella, a Mongolian ceremony.

Notes on the service:

They use a smokeless barbecue
For BBQ steak and BBQ lamb sets, you get five hours of free service included, for BBQ pork set, three hours of free service is included, extra service time costs RMB 100 per hourFree delivery fee if the address is located withing 50km of their Chanping location
For additional seating it’s RMB 15 per person
If the barbecue needs to be carried up stairs there is a fee of RMB 100 per floor
Need to book one to three days in advance and pay a deposit

Hulu BBQ Box

Hulu by TRB is offering a BBQ Box (RMB 800) which served four people, it has a range of skewers, burgers and sausages along with various side dishes, condiments and dessert. It should be noted that the set doesn’t include an actual barbecue so you’ll need to source one of those yourself!

La Masion Lyonnaise

French restaurant La Masion Lyonnaise has a DIY barbecue set available where you purchase a reusable barbecue kit (RMB 180) and you can then pick and choose from a variety of meats, seafood and vegatbles to barbecue and also a range of side dishes. If you spend over RMB 400 they’ll also chuck in a six pack of Asahi beer for free!
