Spicy food lovers the time has come! Early bird tickets are now on sale for the Beijinger’s Hot and Spicy Festival 2023 at Fudi Apr 14-16!

You’ll want to get your tickets fast because these early bird tickets come with one of two special deals: for RMB 30 your ticket comes with a free limited edition Spicy Fest bandana; or for RMB 60 you’ll get the bandana plus an adorable limited edition Chew La La plushie. Indecisive? Tix will be available at the door for RMB 40 (but neither the bandana nor the Chew La La plushie are included).

Our Hot and Spicy Fest is always the spiciest event of the year, and 2023 is going to be no exception! Prepare to get your socks blown off with spicy offerings from over 30+ food and beverage vendors serving up hot and spicy food from more than a dozen countries and regions. We have a number of new faces joining us at the festival for the first time, along with some old favorites who have some surprise specials to share with you. Along with food we will also have plenty of drink vendors slinging craft beer, cocktails, wine and more to cool your tongue down and have some respite from all that spicy food. 

Even more exciting news: our Chili Pepper Eating Contest will be back once again! So if you think you can handle a habanero or scoff down a scotch bonnet with ease then put your money where your mouth is and sign up! Not only will there will be a grand prize for the overall winner and runners up, but also other prizes for contestants along the way. 

To sign up, you will need to join our Chili Eating Contestant group by scanning the QR code below. We will then ask you for some information about your chili eating capabilities to pre-qualify you for the competition.  Each successful participant can get five free tickets for friends and family.

Dress Code

This year the theme is “Into the Jungle” and as always we encourage you to embrace it and dress up! Whether you want to throw on a flowery shirt, go full safari suit or keep things fun and simple with an animal onesie or mask there are plenty of options. Pro tip: if you’re planning on joining with friends, group costumes can be particularly impressive.

Location

The Hot and Spicy Festival 2023 will be taking place on the 4th floor rooftop of Fudi (Yaowa Lake Park), located just southeast of Shuangjing. The weather is already warming up and it’ll be the perfect location to enjoy some spring sunshine.
