Eat Spicy Pizza & Win Prizes at This Event, Apr 8
Sign-ups for the 12th edition of our Chili Pepper Eating Contest are now underway, but in the meantime come on down for a “practice” round – and enjoy some championship pizza while you’re at it – this Saturday at the Slowboat x Joe’s Pizza Soul Train Spring Launch Patio Event!
The winners of our 2022 Juicy Burger Cup and 2023 Cheesy Pizza Cup have joined hands for a block party of sorts to usher in Spring. A highlight of the party – among other things – is a Super Spicy Pizza Eating Contest.
Eight contestants will be pitted against each other for one purpose: to see who can scarf down the spiciest pizza over the span of five rounds.
The first round will feature Joe’s Hot Supreme – a combination of Mexican and Chinese chili peppers with basil and Italian sausage. The spice level increases with every subsequent round – up 30 percent in the second round, 50 percent in the third, 100 percent in the fourth.
Things really heat up in the final round, which will see the Hot Supreme with a tomato and TABASCO sauce base topped with an extra helping of ghost peppers!
All contestants will get a free ticket to the Beijinger’s Hot & Spicy Fest, but the winner of the competition will win tickets, PLUS a Spicy Fest bandana, a Chew La La plush toy, and six different flavors of TABASCO hot sauce to take home!

Along with the Spicy Pizza Contest, there’s a lot more in store at this joint venture party. Slowboat is bringing back their Drink Like a Fish Pilsner Competition for those who can drink quick and clean, plus there will be DJs ‘til sunset and a special collab pizza: the Slowjoe’s Burger Pizza, a pizza combined with a burger that’ll only be available on the day of the party!
The Soul Train Spring Launch Patio Event: Grooving with Slowboat & Joe’s Pizza is happening on Saturday, Apr 8 from 11.30am to sunset. Entry is free. How you feel the next day might come at a cost.
