Get Your Favorite Larry the Bird All-Star Sandwich on the Menu With This Promotion
Larry the Bird is all about two things – chicken and basketball – and they’ve tied the two together for a special September promotion pitting their top All-Star sandwiches against one another, letting diners decide who will make the Larry team and stay permanently on the menu.
If you’ve missed it in the past, the All-Star series is a rotating monthly promotion in which Larry the Bird cooks up a new sandwich and a new chicken dish and then pairs them with a beer to fit the theme. This has ranged from Italian to Japanese to classic Beijing flavors and more.
The great thing is, if you missed the series in the past, this is your chance to try five of Larry’s favorite “draft picks” and decide which one deserves a spot on the menu.
To vote, all you have to do is go to Larry the Bird’s shop in Taikooli and purchase a sandwich. One purchase is one vote. Votes will be tallied at the end of each week until the end of September, when the “number one draft pick” will finally be crowned.
Which sandwiches are on the top five list? Some delicious options, that’s for sure. They are: the Hot Honey Fried Chicken Sandwich, the Peking Fried Chicken Sandwich, the Fried Chicken Parmesan, the Thai Fried Chicken Favorite, and the Supreme Fried Chicken Sandwich (read more about them in the poster below).
Personally, we’re torn between the Hot Honey Fried Chicken Sandwich, dipped in a savory, slightly spicy sauce and topped with cabbage slaw, scallion, and mayo; and the Fried Chicken Parm, a fried chicken cutlet topped with tomato ragout, Italian herbs, melted mozzarella cheese, and a nice piece of pepperoni.
All sandwiches are RMB 50 each. Now all you have to do is head to Larry’s, pick a sandwich, and vote for your favorite.
