As Earth Day approaches on Apr 22, a few spots around Beijing are hosting meaningful events that blend sustainability, community, and conscious living. From eco-conscious workshops to nature immersions and expert-led forums, the capital offers diverse ways to connect with our planet’s future. Whether you want to deepen your climate knowledge with interactive games, join a rejuvenating yoga session in Chaoyang Park, or engage in critical discussions about clean energy, there’s an opportunity for everyone to participate.

JEN Beijing’s Eco-Friendly Initiative

JEN Beijing has teamed up with Free U Nature, AIMER MOVE CWM, Beijing Farmers’ Market and EVITA PERON for a sustainability drive this April. Contribute by dropping off your used paper bags at designated recycling points – JEN Beijing Concierge, Trainyard, or the AIMER MOVE CWM store – before tomorrow (Apr 19).

Then, on Apr 20, Free U Nature will organize a community bike ride starting at JEN Beijing to transport the collected bags to the Beijing Farmers’ Market, where they will be repurposed. Climate Fresk's Earth Day Workshops

For Earth Day, Climate Fresk will be putting on a series of their workshops in Beijing. These Climate Fresk workshops offer a unique way to understand and act on the climate crisis. Using 42 cards based on IPCC reports, the interactive experience reveals the causes, impacts, and solutions to climate change in an engaging, collaborative format. In total, Climate Fresk will host three different workshops in Beijing – two on Apr 19 and one on Apr 23 – in a mix of English, Chinese and French. All the workshops are RMB 68. Avisha Space's Earth Day Celebration

Yoga studio Avisha Space will be hosting an Earth Day Celebration on Apr 22 from 11am to 12.35pm. Taking place in Chaoyang Park, Marcia, Yinai and Bruno, the founder of Avisha Space, will lead attendees in a morning of yoga, meditation and healing rituals surrounded by nature. The class is RMB 128 and includes a free coffee or orange juice and ten percent of the event's proceeds will be donated to the Peabiru Institute, a Brazilian NGO, which works on protecting the Amazon Rainforest. BritCham's Earth Day Discussion Panel: "Our Power, Our Planet"

The British Chamber of Commerce will be putting on an Earth Day discussion panel on Apr 22 from 6pm to 8.30pm at Robarts Spaces in Guanghua SOHO II. Called "Our Power, Our Planet," this insightful forum will examine clean energy's crucial role in building sustainable economies, featuring perspectives from business leaders, energy experts, and academics. Tickets are RMB 100 for BritCham members and RMB 200 for non-members, and refreshments are included during the post-discussion networking session.
