New Pool Club Ibiza Opening Soon
The temperatures in Beijing are starting to rise, so the news of a new pool club couldn't come at a better time! Called Ibiza Party Club and located just east of our 2025 Juicy Burger Fest venue, XidianJiYi Funstown, this pool bar brings the vibes of its namesake with a sandy beach area, stunning large outdoor pool, beach bar and DJ booth. They've already done a few soft opening events but aren't yet running normal business hours. According to their Dianping listing, they will be officially opening very soon, and we'll be sure to bring you all the details when they're fully up and running.

WAWABEER Opens Dine-In Restaurant
If you remember WAWABEER's super creative and delicious burgers from some of our previous Juicy Burger Festivals, then we've got good news for you! They've recently opened a full-fledged dine-in spot, a great upgrade from their previous takeout window. Located in Tuanjie Xinli, the same complex that houses Golden Dog, they've got ten different burgers on the menu plus new additions like tacos, a sausage platter and other snacks as well as eight of their signature beers and four kombuchas on tap.

Peiping Machine Opens Up New Branch in Friendship Store Complex
Beijing brewery Peiping Machine has opened up a new branch in the Friendship Store Complex, which you might remember is also where Shanghai-based vegan bistro Duli recently opened their first Beijing branch, just around the corner from Side Street Jianguomen. Their ninth branch in the capital, here you can get Peiping Machine's usual array of great brews and delicious bites, such as their famous Beijing Roast Duck Jianbing (RMB 58).

Beijing Whisky Festival Returns This Weekend
This weekend, from May 16 to 18, Whisky+ Beijing 2025 will be returning to the capital, this time at Langyuan Station. Along with numerous whiskies up for grabs, they've also got 30+ whisky master classes happening over the three-day event, most of which are completely free! Aside from whisky, there will be other spirits available like rum, gin and tequila as well as beer and wine plus plenty of food. They've also got a range of entertainment such as live bands, DJ sets and interactive dancing.
Whisky+ Beijing 2025 will be taking place May 16 from 5pm to 10pm, May 17 from 2pm to 10pm and May 18 from 2pm to 7pm. A standard single day ticket is RMB 59 and can be purchased by scanning the QR code in the poster above. You can read more about the festival here.

Yardley Brothers High Five Tap Takeover at Slowboat Shichahai
On Friday (May 16), Slowboat's High Five Tap Takeover is back at their Shichahai location for its sixth edition. This time, Hong Kong craft brewery Yardley Brothers will be bringing five of their innovative brews to enjoy: This is Not Pho Sour, Thai Chilli Getaway Herb & Spice Sour, Befuddlement Hazy IPA, Tanghulu Candy Sour and Machine Men DDH Pale Ale. The tap takeover kicks off from 4pm, and the Yardley Brothers beers will be available until stocks last.

Rooftop Mediterranean Mezze and Free-Flow at The Factory
This Sunday (May 18), The Factory is putting on a Mediterranean mezze-themed rooftop fiesta with a special free-flow deal. The Mezze Set (RMB 99) comes with Chicken Confit for meat eaters or Falafel in Tomato Base for vegans/vegetarians. Both sets also include an array of Mediterranean sides like hummus, babaganoush and naan bread, and you can see the full menu below.
To accompany the meal, The Factory is also offering a special free-flow deal on two cocktails: Rosemary Sangria and Cucumber Pepper Gin Fizz for RMB 200 from noon to 8pm. Gin Tasting Night at Paddy O'Shea's
Paddy's is swapping out their regular bimonthly whisky tasting for a gin tasting instead. Taking place tomorrow (May 15) from 8pm, attendees will get to sample six different gins: Bombay Sapphire, Tanqueray, Tanqueray 10, Míl, Wild Mist and The Rambler.
