Another Ball, Festivals and More Events to Save the Date For

After recently posting about a few upcoming balls, we've got another to add to the list, plus a couple of festivals, the Highland Games and more. So, get your calendars out and prepare to save the dates for these upcoming events in Beijing!

German Ball 2025

The 22nd German Ball Beijing will take place on Nov 15, from 5.45pm until 2am at the Hyatt Regency Beijing Wangjing. This year the theme is Splendor of the Tang: A Night of Celebration and Elegance. Guests will enjoy a cocktail reception, a set dinner, a dessert buffet and a midnight buffet, as well as live performances including a band and DJ. Ticket sales for tables will open on Sep 1, and then individual ticket sales will open on Oct 1. You can read more about the German Ball here.

River BBQ Fest

In case you missed it, our first-ever River BBQ Fest is coming to Langyuan Station from Sep 19 to 21. At the fest, there will be everything from American low-and-slow to Brazilian churrasco, Chinese chuan'r, Korean BBQ, Turkish barbecue, Japanese izakaya skewers and more! River BBQ Fest will be taking place at Langyuan Station on Sep 19 from 4pm until 9pm and Sep 20-21 from 11am until 9pm.

Beijing Music Festival

The 28th Beijing Music Festival is set to return from Oct 10 to 24 with the theme “Future Tradition · Moments and New Voices.” A celebration of classical and contemporary music, it will bring together artists from China, Switzerland, Japan, Russia, Britain and beyond.  The festival will open at the National Centre for the Performing Arts with the China Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by composer Yu Long. Along with performances, the festival will include masterclasses, workshops and more. 

The 28th Beijing Music Festival will be taking place from Oct 10 to 24 at a range of venues across Beijing. Tickets for individual performances are RMB 100-880 and can be purchased by scanning the QR code below. You can read more about the festival here.


Highland Games 2025

After being postponed earlier in the year due to severe weather warnings, the Highland Games have now been rescheduled. The seventh edition of this lively celebration will now take place on Sun, Sep 14, from 11am to 6pm at Dulwich College Beijing. Organised by the British Chamber of Commerce in China, together with the Scottish Government, Scottish Development International and the Beijing Scottish Society, the Games celebrate all things Scottish, with everything from bagpipes to whisky to all kinds of food and, of course, the Games themselves.

The Highland Games 2025 will take place on Sep 14, from 11am to 6pm at Dulwich College Beijing. Individual adult tickets are RMB 150, individual child tickets are RMB 100, tickets for a family of three are RMB 300 and tickets for a family of four are RMB 400. 2025 Chi Fan for Charity (CFFC)

The 2025 Beijing CFFC will be returning for its 17th edition on Sat, Nov 8. This annual foodie event brings some of Beijing's restaurants together for a night of dining that raises hundreds of thousands for charity. This year's chosen charities are Bethel, From Our Eyes and Beijing Qingcaodi Charity Foundation. You can read more about them here. The list of participating restaurants for this year's CFFC is yet to be announced, but you can follow the CFFC official WeChat (WeChat ID: ChiFanForCharity) to keep-up-to-date with all the details.
