Nowadays, it feels like there is a festival of one kind or another every weekend in Beijing, and if you feel this way, you wouldn't be wrong! Here, we've gathered some ongoing and upcoming festivals happening across the capital this month for you to enjoy.
Oktoberfest 2025 at Kempinski Hotel

The Kempinski Hotel is back once again with their annual Oktoberfest celebration, running every day from 6pm to 10.30pm until Oct 25 at Paulaner Bräuhaus. They've been bringing this traditional Bavarian experience to the capital since 1992, and this year promises another unforgettable feast of flavor, music and cheer.
At the festival, you can enjoy classic German cuisine and four hours of free-flow Paulaner beer paired with live Bavarian bands, sing-alongs and high-energy performances. The menu features classic dishes like the Oktoberfest Butcher Platter, Crispy Chicken, and Vienna-Style Pork Loin, finishing with a slice of Black Forest Cake for the perfect sweet finale.
The Kempinski Hotel's Oktoberfest will be taking place at Paulaner Bräuhaus every day from 6pm to 10.30pm until Oct 25. Tickets are RMB 498/person (minimum bookings of four people) and tickets can be purchased by scanning the QR code below.

K Food Festa: 2025 Beijing Korean Food Festival

Experience a taste of Korea at K Food Festa, a three-day celebration of Korean food, culture and lifestyle. Taking place at the POSCO Center in Wangjing from Oct 17 to 19, the festival features 50+ booths with everything from Korean cuisine to Korean drinks, beauty and fashion products, lifestyle goods and more. They'll also have a lineup of stage performances, including a K-POP dance competition, interactive games and traditional Korean cultural experiences.
The 2025 K Food Festa will be taking place at the POSCO Center in Wangjing from Oct 17 to 19, from 10am to 10pm each day. The festival is free to attend. You can scan the QR code in the poster above for more information about the fest.

Plan B Music and Lifestyle Festival

This weekend (Oct 17-Oct 19) and next weekend (Oct 24-26), the Plan B Music and Lifestyle Festival will be taking over Langyuan Vintage in the CBD. The festival is all about rediscovering life's “B Side,” where spontaneity, relaxation and passion take center stage. Across the two weekends, the open-air venue will see a range of live performances from emerging local musicians, spanning everything from smooth blues to fiery rock. Along with live music, there will also be 50+ booths, including a Roundabout pop-up store, food vendors, vintage stores, vinyl record sellers and more.
The Plan B Music and Lifestyle Festival will be taking place at Langyuan Vintage on Oct 17 and Oct 24 from 2pm-8pm and on Oct 18-19 and Oct 25-26 from 10am-8pm. The festival is free to attend, and you can read more about it here.

Jing-A's 9th Annual 8x8 Brewing Project

It's not long now until Jing-A's Annual 8x8 Brewing Project returns to the capital, taking place from Oct 24 to 25 at the C7 Light Theatre. Now in its ninth year, Jing-A's 8x8 Festival provides an opportunity to for Chinese breweries to partner up with breweries from different countries and regions in order to make eight new exciting beers.

This year, eight Chinese breweries have been paired up with eight Scandinavian breweries; each collaboration will create a different beer, meaning there will be eight brand-new brews to try and a grand total of 136 beers to choose from during the event! You can take a look at the 16 breweries and their pairings in the poster above.

Jing-A's 9th Annual 8x8 Brewing Project will be taking place from Oct 24 to 25 at the C7 Light Theatre. You can see details of the tasting sessions and ticket prices in the graphic above, and you can read more and purchase tickets via this link.

2025 Beijing Chaoyang International Light Festival · Consumption Season

The 2025 Beijing Chaoyang International Light Festival · Consumption Season is still in full swing, running until the end of October. It sees nearly 60 stunning light-and-shadow installations taking over numerous areas like the Liangma River, Chaoyang Park, the Olympic Stadium and various other districts in the capital. There are also a variety of ongoing exhibitions, cultural performances, interactive shows, immersive pop-ups and more.

Take a Bite Festival

Another ongoing festival is the Take a Bite Festival, which celebrates all things carbs! Happening at the Olympic Tower and Olympic Forest Park, there are still two weekends left, Oct 17-19 and Oct 24-26, to visit the fest. They've got a whole range of food vendors serving up both international and Chinese carby delights, as well as specialty drinks. They've also got other activities like baking workshops, plus once night falls the festival joins the Chaoyang Light Festival, adding some dazzling light exhibitions to the fun. Strolling around the Olympic Tower and Forest Park while taking in the lights is also the perfect post-carb feast unwind.
The Take a Bite Festival is taking place Oct 17-19 and Oct 24-26 from 11am to 9pm each day. The festival is free to attend, and you can read more about it here.

Slowboat Oktoberfest

Finally, a reminder that Slowboat's Annual Oktoberfest is also still happening across all of its branches in Beijing until Oct 31. They've got a range of Baviran-themed special deals on, such as one-liter steins of Drink Like a Fish Pilsner for only RMB 55 (normally RMB 90). They'll also have Soft Bavarian-Style Pretzels (RMB 35/three), which will be baked fresh daily and come served with your choice of dip: Sweet Honey Mustard or Sour Cream Dill Wasabi. Lastly, Slowboat will be selling Bavarian Party Sets (RMB 198), which include a Sausage Platter, two one-liter steins of Drink Like a Fish Pilsner and three fresh pretzels.
Slowboat's Annual Oktoberfest will be taking place from Oct 1 to Oct 31 across all of their locations.
