Week Ahead: Furry Tales Fun, Wine & Vinyl, DIY Workshop & More
This week there's two special Furry Tales events, a wine and vinyl night at Voyage by HUI, a Panawave DIY Workshop and more.
Support – Furry Tales Trivia Night & Adoption Afternoon

Pet rescue charity Furry Tales has two upcoming events this week. Firstly on Tuesday (Nov 11) at 8pm, they're joining forces with The Local to put on a special Trivia Night. Furry Tales co-founder Ellie will co-host the quiz with The Local's owner Kenn, and you can expect some animal related rounds during the quiz. Then on Saturday (Nov 15), Furry Tales will be putting on an adoption event at Timekeepers from 2pm to 5pm. At the event, you can meet the adorable dogs they have up for adoption, enjoy a selection of drinks from Timekeepers – including some new winter additions – and also purchase some exclusive Furry Tales merch to show your support for the charity!

The Furry Tales Trivia Crossover will be taking place on Tue, Nov 11, at The Local from 8pm. Entry to the quiz is free. The Furry Tales Adoption Afternoon will be taking place at Timekeepers on Sat, Nov 15, from 2pm to 5pm. The event is free to attend.

Learn – Panawave DIY Workshop at Wujin

Join artist and researcher Dennis de Bel for the Panawave DIY Workshop next Sunday (Nov 16) from 4pm to 7pm. During the workshop, participants will build their own electromagnetic wave listening device, a “pseudo-scientific” tool that turns invisible signals into audible sounds.
Using simple soldering techniques, you'll assemble your own Pana Wave Laboratory (PWL) receiver, capable of picking up interference from street lights, e-bikes and even phone chargers. Once everyone's device is working, the group will take to the streets for a collective sound walk, tuning in to the city's hidden hums and frequencies. No prior experience is needed to join the workshop, but remember to bring a good pair of wired headphones.
The Panawave DIY Workshop will be taking place at Wujin on Sun, Nov 16, from 4pm to 7pm. The workshop costs RMB 80 and you can book your spot by scanning the QR code in the poster above. You can read more about the workshop here.
