All the Banging Entertainment at Culturopolis

Culturopolis is just around the corner, and to get you as hyped as we are, it's time to take a look at our stellar entertainment lineup hitting the stage this weekend. From Jan 31 to Feb 1, expect a high-energy mix of live bands, vocal performances, dance showcases, interactive experiences and the 2026 Beijing International High School Battle of the Bands. Whether you're looking to dance it out or just soak it all in between bites, this lineup is set to keep the vibes high all day long.

Zumba Dance Party by ClassPass

At Culturopolis, ClassPass will host two Zumba Dance Parties on Jan 31 and Feb 1. Don't feel shy to join! Dance along with the instructor to burn off all those calories from the food vendors!

ClassPass is a fitness/wellness platform that enables users to book a wide variety of classes/services by pass without committing to memberships. Simply check the ClassPass WeChat Mini-program to book gym classes (Yoga, Pilates, Cycling, CrossFit, HIIT, Boxing, BJJ etc.) and beauty/SPA services with 2,000+ studios across 17 cities!

Lucky Draw! After each Zumba session, ClassPass will also be doing a lucky draw. Two winners per session will receive 30 ClassPass credits (worth RMB 360), redeemable for classes and services across all partner venues.

Katerina From Georgia's Feast

Singer Ekaterina Fomenko was an official artist of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, and was awarded by Russian Ambassador Denisov in Beijing for her great contribution to the development of Russian culture in China. Since 2021, she has performed as a lead vocalist at major top-tier venues across Dubai, including appearances for royal family members and Hollywood celebrities. Her artistic career spans the globe, earning international competition awards in cities such as Vladivostok, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Barcelona, Beijing, and Yalta. Since returning to Beijing in 2025, she now regularly performs at Georgia's Feast.

That'll Learn Ya

From the YCIS Beijing Performing Arts Department, Mr Stevenson, Mr Robb and Mr Fellows will be playing a selection of songs from across the decades. With numerous years of live musical experience, they are thrilled to perform at Culturopolis and represent their school community!

Indian Dancing

Recommended by Dastaan Indian Restaurant, the Indian dance groups Madhuri Dance Troupe and Zhenzhen's Niche Arts will present a stunning dance performance including styles such as Bollywood dancing, Indian folk dance, Odissi (Indian classical dance) and Kathak (Indian classical dance).

End of the World

End of the World is a vibrant and unique ska band celebrating its 25th year in the Beijing Rock scene. With all original songs influenced by second and third wave ska, punk, surf rockabilly and big band, there is something for everyone on the dance floor!

VOX Vocal Ensemble

VOX Vocal Ensemble is an elite choir rooted in Shunyi's international community and oriented toward the global stage. Coached by seasoned musicians from top music institutions in the United States, the group has been shaped into a crossover choir of international caliber. The name "VOX," derived from Latin and meaning "voice," symbolizes a return to the essence of the human voice, in pursuit of the purest and most moving choral harmonies.

Alberto Casartelli

Alberto Casartelli is an Italian singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from Milan. His music has been featured on CCTV, including his song "Transfer Power" for the Beijing Winter Olympics. He also wrote lyrics for Jay Chou’s song "Amore Mio", performed on Chou’s TV show. Winner of the 2023 "Together Sing My Song" Tianjin Original Public Welfare Song Competition, he has performed widely in Italy and taught guitar and bass. He now continues creating music with his own band, bridging Chinese and Italian musical cultures.

Battle of the Bands

Initiated and founded by an international high school student in Beijing in 2024, the Beijing International High School Battle of the Bands is a key part of Culturopolis. For the 2026 edition, we are pleased to welcome M board as its Exclusive Music Empowerment Partner, a forward-thinking force in music and a co-creator of youth music pathways.

M board has launched the "Best Original Song Award," offering meaningful prizes and professional music industry access. Driven by a commitment to nurture genuine musical passion and original expression, this partnership also initiates M board's Long-term Growth Empowerment Program, designed to enrich the journey of young bands.

We thank M board for walking alongside these future musicians, as together we amplify youth voices.

This year's Battle of the Bands gathers 13 international high school bands who will go head-to-head in an epic showdown! Among them are former "Battle of the Bands" runners-up returning for the crown, long-established campus bands that have evolved through multiple line-up changes, and young rock groups already seasoned by the stage. Who will take the title? Find out this weekend!
