Iftar Buffets and Specials Around Beijing to Celebrate Ramadan

The month of Ramadan has already begun, and with it comes the cherished tradition of the Iftar meal. Taking place after sundown, Iftar marks the end of the daily fast, which is traditionally broken with dates – a symbol of the meal's beginning – followed by light snacks and evening prayers. It's a time for family and friends to come together, celebrate, and share a meal after a day of fasting.

Here in Beijing, there are many restaurants offering Iftar meals during Ramadan, with everything from special set menus to buffets and more. Whether you're looking for a traditional spread or something a little different, Beijing has plenty to offer. 

Turkish Feast

Turkish Feast will be doing three different Iftar Set Meals: Beef Kuru Fasulye with Turkish Style Rice (RMB 118); Eggplant Karniyarik with Beef & Mashed Potatoes (RMB 128); and Lamb Tandir with Basmati and Bulgur (RMB 138). All three sets come with soup, mini salad, bread, dates, water and tea. 

They will also be doing a special offer for Iftar, where you can get a Whole Grilled Lamb, served with rice, nuts and vegetables, for the reduced price of RMB 2,180 (original price 2,580). The special Iftar meals will be available from now until Mar 20; however, please note the lamb is only available at their JinShang Yuan and WF Central branches. Dastaan

Dastaan will be offering a daily Iftar Dinner Buffet (RMB 148/adult, RMB 68/child) from 6pm until 10pm from now to Mar 19. They will have three different menus on rotation (you can see an example of Menu A below), and each one includes a vast array of their authentic Indian dishes cooked to perfection.

Along with the buffet, they also have a Ramadan Iftar Box (RMB 138) available for dine-in and delivery, which includes a drink, salad, soup, starter, main course and dessert. See more details below.

They will also have Dastaan's Grandma's Recipe Haleem (RMB 58), a lamb and lentil stew that's slow-cooked for over ten hours and whose recipe has been passed down through generations. It will be available from now to Mar 18. To order, scan the QR code in the poster below.

CULTURE

CULTURE will be putting on an Iftar Buffet Menu (RMB 118/per person) from 5.30pm-9.30pm every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from now until Mar 19. Their buffet includes starters, Iftar fried snacks, a soup, fresh breads, main courses, raita & pickles, chaats & salads, rice dishes, BBQ specials and desserts. Punjabi

Punjabi will be doing two different Iftar Set Dinners: Lamb & Chicken Special (RMB 88) and Beef and Chicken Special (RMB 88), running from Sun-Thu each evening. 

Then on Fridays and Saturdays, they will be putting on an Iftar Buffet (RMB 128) from 6pm to 9.30pm.

Sea Strings will have a special Iftar Set Menu (RMB 258/per person) running each evening until Mar 19. Their menu includes welcome dates, a breadbasket, soup, appetizer & salad, pasta & hot mezze, main course, staple food, dessert and drink. You can see the full menu details in the poster below.
