Calling All Animal Lovers, Don’t Miss These Upcoming Events

This weekend is a big one for animal lovers in Beijing with three different pet-related events taking place. Furry Tales will be putting on their first adoption event of the year, INN and ICVS are joining forces to throw "Love Your Pet Day" and the Beijing Pet Fair returns.

Furry Tales Adoption Event

First up, animal rescue charity Furry Tales is back with their first Adoption Event of 2026, taking place this Saturday (Mar 21), from noon until 3pm at Plan B. At the event, you can meet the adorable dogs they have up for adoption, as well as learn more about the process of either adopting or fostering one of their rescued dogs or cats. Attendees can also enjoy Plan B's usual selection of drinks and food and embrace the warmer spring weather on Plan B's terrace. Those with their own furbabies are also welcome to bring them along to the event.

The Furry Tales Adoption Event will be taking place at Plan B on Sat, Mar 21, from noon to 3pm. The event is free to attend.

INN & ICVS Love Your Pet Day

On Sunday (Mar 22), the International Newcomers Network (INN) and International Center for Veterinary Services (ICVS) are joining forces to host a free "Love Your Pet Day" event at Maison FL.

Designed as a fun, family-friendly afternoon for animal lovers, the event will feature adoptable dogs and puppies looking for homes, alongside a range of activities including kids' games, an Adopted Pets Photo Exhibition and a live pet portrait painting station, where artists will paint your pet on an item of clothing or paper. Guests can also get professional pet healthcare advice directly from ICVS veterinarians, as well as browse pet foods and treats on site.

There'll also be plenty of extras throughout the afternoon, including raffle draws with prizes, complimentary drinks and snacks, and goody bags for all guests, complete with a special scented candle gift from Tallow Candle Co.

Love Your Pet Day will take place on Sun, Mar 22, from 2pm to 5pm. Entry is free, but advance RSVP via WeChat (by Mar 19) is required. To register, you can scan the QR code in the poster above.

Beijing Pet Fair 2026

Lastly, this weekend, the Beijing Pet Fair 2026 will be returning for its 13th edition at the China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Hall). Although the fair officially starts tomorrow (Mar 19), the public access days are from Mar 21-22.

This huge pet industry event brings together more than 1,500 exhibitors showcasing everything from pet food and healthcare to smart devices, grooming products and lifestyle goods. Alongside the massive exhibition, visitors can enjoy a packed program of talks, competitions, product launches and interactive experiences.

Highlights during the public days include pet grooming demos, expert lectures, a Pet Fashion Week, cat shows, reptile competitions, and themed zones covering everything from small animals to emerging pet lifestyle trends.

Pet Fair Beijing 2026 will be open for the public on Mar 21 from 9am to 5:30pm and Mar 22 from 9am to 4pm at the China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Hall). Standard tickets to the fair are RMB 50 and can be purchased by scanning the QR code below. Please note that you are not allowed to bring your own pet to the fair.
