ordered online at 11:58. Arrived in office exactly 17 minutes later. During lunch rush. In Beijing traffic. Sweet Jesus I'm going to have to order some more "Easy Fit" jeans soon...
I appreciate the information but please make sure it's correct and factual. It's your basic duty as a journalist / blogger. The SE Asian tsunami occured in 2004, not 2005. It also only affected the Andeamen Sea side of Thailand and did not affect the Gulf of Thailand. Chaweng Beach is on Samui which is in the Gulf and was not affected at all.

Thanks for your interest. We are currently in negotiation with our landlord to re-open our Wangjing store at a future date. We hope to have confirmation on this in the coming weeks. In the meantime we are serving the WJ area form our nearby Lido location, and have just added several highspeed electic bikes to cover the area in a faster time. Will keep all posted once we have more news.
It should be noted that this medicine is not suitable for diabetics due to the high sugar content. I would say it is best for drier coughs that are not accompanied by a large amound of phlegm.
I heard a while back the Gung Ho! in WJ was going to re-open in 6 months...is that true? If not, why else would they have their delivery e-bikes parked inside? Anyone set the story straight? (Guomao would be an unofficial sub-district, but not a fell fledged district.)
My mother used to give this to us whenever we had the slightest hint of a cough. Because it tasted so good, we used to look forward to catching colds because that meant we could have more Pei Pa Koa! Don't know if it works, but it tastes amazing!

I also live in a "normal" compound, and I certainly don't have heating yet. Almost all of the people I have asked about this also don't have their central heating yet. But these comments suggest some lucky people do get heating earlier.
They gotta fix that front door, which fails to fully close without manual force (nothing like a winter gust to make your hot coffee void of any said warmth) or take a loss on their entire left-side setup. But otherwise an improvement to the area, in more ways than one...
the dates represent the last date for heat to be turned on.
most of us start our heating before that when it starts to seem cold.
you'll need as humidifier anywhere in the world in the winter.
the heating of cold air reduces the relative humidity because the saturation vapor pressure of water is increased by heating while the amount of water in the air stays the same.
beijing is a relatively dry area so the heating effect is enhanced here. an added benefit of adding water vapor is that the room will seem warmer if the relative humidity is higher.

Thank you miclac1 for pointing that out regarding diabetics. Yes, regarding coughs, it is more a cough suppressant, not a decongestant.

The RMB 108 lunch set is quite good and leans towards Beijing flavors, just be aware it doesn't include duck.

Re: Three Things to Know About Chinese-Foreigner Dating
I found an article that says "Jerry" Chan is a "nice guy" who thinks that chinese and american attitudes are diametrically opposed.
I suppose I must disagree with both of those opinions, and I am not sure if "Jerry" is speaking from the Amerikan or the Chinese view.

I would just love to see some real intiatives to get all the heavy trucks and buses to clean up or get off the road, as at least a start.
Its something they could do very quickly, that would have real results.
