Sexy Singer, Olympian Drinks - The Bar at the InterContinental

Although not the most creatively named of venues, The Bar at the InterContinental Beichen is a convenient drop-in if you live in the area or are a hotel guest.

A sexy singer-and-keyboardist duo croons nightly to the patrons lounging around the circular venue. Standard cocktails run around RMB 68-78, with signature drinks themed after nearby Olympic venues.

The “Water Cube” is a charming concoction of lychee and Blue Curacao, while the “Bird’s Nest” is vodka, watermelon juice and Red Bull. You can try both at The Bar’s daily happy hour (buy one get one free, 5-9pm).
