Burp! Another Fatburger Next Month

Just when you thought it was safe to kick off that Rabbit Year diet, those Californian beef pushers are back. A new Fatburger store will open in the China World Mall Tower 1 in the CBD. This from a Fatburger spokesperson:

"Renovation will begin soon by the end of this month and we are looking at end March opening with our Fatburger Family and Friends Day."

I don't know what a Fatburger Family and Friends day is, but it sounds like there will be more than a few mobility scooters present. The new restaurant is located on a new connecting section that links up the mall with the new subway line. Judging by all the billboards lining each side of the wide corridoor, there's lots more restaurants coming too. Here are just a few notables:

Fresh Bowl Ginseng Chicken Soup, another branch of Malaysian restaurant Nyonya Kitchen, a hot pot place called My Love Pot, a Xiheyayuan roast duck restaurant, a Taiwanese dessert place (naturally), and a few others.

Not to mention that China World Mall Tower 1 is kind of dead...

They just cant compete against burger king, who wants to pay 80 RMB for a hamburger, and the shakes have gone downhill in my opinion.

As falls Witchita so falls Witchita Falls.
