Have You Met: L’enfance Rouge

The French-Italian avant-rock band is here to promote their new compilation album, which spans their 17-year history. Currently dividing their time between Reykjavik and Borj el-Khadra in Tunisia, the globetrotting trio has performed in the refugee camps of some of the world’s most war-torn regions.

The buzz
They’ve entertained crowds from the former Yugoslavia to Tunis. Now they’re launching their latest offering, Swinousjcie-Beijing, in the Chinese capital.

Key tracks
“Grande-Survie,” “Gabès Le Soir, Maribor Le Matin,” “Nada. Nothing. Gar Nicht. Rien.”

They say:
“Without boundaries, either musical or geographical.”

We say:
It may not be the easiest show you’ll see this year, but their uniquely bombastic sound and meticulously crafted soundscapes are well worth checking out.

See them at Yugong Yishan on Jun 29
