Talking Pints: A Close Shave and A Strong Man Contest

A brief Talking Pints this week, but with so much going on, how can we ever squeeze it all in? Let's start with a massive seizure. Or rather, celebrate the fact that we might have avoided one.

"Beijing police announced [earlier this week] that they had seized over 37,000 bottles of fake alcohol (including beer and spirits), much of it set to be sold to Sanlitun bars. Five different groups of people have been arrested on suspicion of producing fake liquor, fake beer and fake packaging."

A lucky escape for anyone preparing for a night out around Sanlitun this weekend.

  • Hot Cat Club will host a regular PekingComedy Open Mic Night every Wednesday at 9.30pm.

Five different groups of people have been arrested on suspicion of producing fake liquor, fake beer and fake packaging. Meanwhile, third-tier bars in remote areas of town are now reporting a new source of cheap alcohol"
