Do the (Re) Shuffle: 4corners Closed This Week for Renovations

4corners is about to change the way you drink and dance.

Jun Trinh and Tavey Lin are remodeling to make way for a better flow of foot traffic during shows and free up some space around the bar. Last night (August 18), they threw a kick-off party with free beer for whoever was brave enough to knock out some bricks of what was once a very crowded bar counter. They'll be closed the rest of the week for renovations.

Lin says they're going to salvage the bricks to rebuild the bar on the south side of the front room and move the stage to the north side, where the dining tables and booths are currently located. They plan to be finished by this weekend (Friday, August 23 or Saturday, August 24), and once this happens, Tavey Lin and the Solid Gold Dream Machine will be throwing down the funk to celebrate. Look out for the details in our 7 Days in Beijing Newsletter if you fancy helping to break in their revamped dance floor.

Come back next week and let us know below what you think of 4corner's facelift.
