Community Matters: Pet Costumes for Halloween

While everyone should have their own human costumes prepared for the Halloween celebrations in town tomorrow night, you certainly don't want to leave Pooch or Kitty out of the fun. Dressing up your pet for Halloween has become quite the trend and can make for some great Facebook posts to share with friends. Here are some examples of how creative you can be.

Before we continue, be sure to choose, or make, a costume that your pet will feel safe and comfortable wearing. If Sparky starts scratching, that's a bad sign. The ASPCA offers some basic pointers for safe pet costumes: The outfit shouldn't constrict movement, hearing, breathing, barking or meowing, and shouldn't have any small, dangling pieces that could get caught and lead to injury or be chewed off and choked on.

Generic costumes for pets are available on Taobao and going for a simple furry Superman may be an easy choice.
