Cartoon Food and Drink Collabs Take Beijing by Storm

Following on from a recent collaboration with Moutai, Luckin Coffee recently launched yet another new collab, this time joining forces with classic cartoon characters Tom and Jerry. However, they aren't the only company in Beijing that has partnered up with some popular characters for some gimmicky fun.

It seems that Luckin are on a roll with their collabs, they stirred up a storm with their Moutai lattes and now they’re trending again with their Tom and Jerry inspired latte. Dubbed the “Who Stole My Mascarpone Latte 谁喝了我的马斯卡彭生酪拿铁 shéi hēle wǒde mǎsīkǎpéng shēng lào nátiě” (RMB 29), it’s been created in honor of them celebrating the one year anniversary of their signature Cheese Flavored Latte 生酪拿铁 shēng lào nátiě (RMB 29). The latte is made from imported mascarpone cheese from Denmark and coffee made from their IIAC Gold Award coffee beans, to create a rich, creamy flavored latte a bit reminiscent of cheesecake. 

Along with the latte, they’ve also got Tom and Jerry sticker sets which customers can get for free with the purchase of any two drinks, plus they’ve given one of their stores, located in the H. Brothers building near Liangmaqiao, a complete Tom and Jerry makeover.

LELECHA X Shawn the Sheep

Cheese tea connoisseurs LELECHA have partnered up with Shawn the Sheep to create a range of Shawn the Sheep products including two special themed drinks: the Brown Sugar Boba Dirty Red Ceylon 黑糖波霸脏脏红锡兰 hēitáng bōbà zāng zāng hóng xīlán (RMB 15) and the Brown Sugar Boba Dirty White Milk Flower 黑糖波霸脏脏白奶花 hēitáng bōbà zāng zāng bái nǎi huā (RMB 22). 

Aside from the special drinks they also have a whole range of other Shawn the Sheep paraphernalia up for grabs like Shawn the Sheep stickers, a Shawn the Sheep hairband and even a Shawn the Sheep loofah. 

Holiland X Rick and Morty

Ahead of the release of Rick and Morty’s seventh season, which aired in the US yesterday (Oct 15), Holiland launched three different Rick and Morty inspired baked treats. First up is the Matcha Portal Pastry 抹茶传送门 mǒchá chuánsòngmén (RMB 43), matcha, cheese and chocolate flavored; a Pickle Rick Pastry 腌黄瓜瑞克 yānhuángguā ruìkè ( RMB 38), cucumber and cheese flavored; and lastly Half Baked Cheesecakes 和半熟芝士 hé bànshú zhīshì (RMB 39). We have to admit that although the Pickle Rick flavor sounds a little dubious, they have really nailed the look!
