Learn – Bombard the Headquarters, an Author Book Talk
Join RASBJ for an online conversation between authors Linda Jaivin and Paul French, as they discuss Jaivin’s newest book Bombard the Headquarters. The soon-to-be-released work looks at life in China from 1966 to 1976, nearly a decade of upheaval that forever changed the destiny of the nation.
Bombard the Headquarters, an Author Book Talk is happening online on Wed, May 28, from 7pm to 8pm. The talk is free for RASBJ members; RMB 50 for members of RAS branches in London, Shanghai, and Hong Kong; and RMB 100 for non-members. Scan the QR code in the poster to register by Mon, May 26.
Play – Darts Tournament at Spuds
If you’re down for darts, then Spuds Irish Bar is the place to be from Saturday to Sunday, as they’ll be hosting their first ever darts tournament, the Spuds Cup! Teams of four will face off in a knockout competition, with cash prizes, trophies, medals, and bragging rights for the winners.
The Spuds Cup is happening from Sat, May 31, to Sun, Jun 1, at Spuds Irish Bar. Entry is RMB 400 per team of four and includes a pizza and one drink for each team member. Scan the QR code in the poster to register.
