Busy Holiday 4: WTT Carnival, Caribbean Night & More

It's the National Holiday! While many of you may have left Beijing for the holiday, for those who have remained in the capital, there is still plenty to do! Today we'll be taking a look at some events to hit up tomorrow, Oct 4.

WTT Shougang Park Fans Carnival 

In honor of the World Table Tennis (WTT) China Smash 2025, Shougang Park is putting on the WTT Shougang Park Fans Carnival over Golden Week, running until Oct 8. Highlights of the carnival include an international market with food and goods from 50+ global brands, special live music sets every night and over 40 cultural performances. There will also be a quirky Ping-Pong Party Pop-Up hosted by the ping-pong community Nerds, with wacky paddles, creative tables and fun challenges. 

The WTT Shougang Park Fans Carnival is taking place now until Oct 8, from 1pm to 9pm each day at Shougang Park. Entry to the carnival is free, and you can read more about the carnival here.

Regent Butterfly Brunch

If you're looking for a bit of indulgence over the holiday, you can head over to the Regent for their Butterfly Brunch tomorrow or Sunday. Running from 11am until 4.30pm, the brunch offers two brunch meal choices. The Bubble Brunch (RMB 388/person) is a three-course meal plus fresh pastries with free-flow sparkling wine, house wine, brunch cocktails and coffee/tea. Alternatively, there is the Butterfly Champagne Brunch (RMB 888/person), which is a five-course meal with free-flow Perrier-Jouët champagne, house wine, brunch cocktails and coffee/tea. Caribbean Night and Jamaican BBQ at The Factory

Tomorrow (Oct 4) from 3pm, Caribbean Night returns to The Factory with live DJ performances and Jamaican BBQ. The event is all about bringing island vibes to Beijing with DJ Hot Cue and Kirtis, plus a rotation of special guest DJs, playing a mix of reggae, dancehall, soca, and Afro-Caribbean beats to keep the dance floor moving. For food they will be offering Reggae Factory Caribbean Sets (RMB 149), which include Jamaican Pork Ribs, Jamaican Rice, Coleslaw and a Special Drink. 

Caribbean Night will be taking place at the factory on Oct 4, from 3pm until late. Entry to the event is free, but reservations for food are highly recommended, and you can book yours now by scanning the QR code in the poster above. You can read more about the event here.

Temple of Heaven by Night Walking Tour With Beijing Postcards

See the Temple of Heaven like you've never seen it before with Beijing Postcards. Tomorrow evening from 6.30pm until 9.30pm, they'll be leading one of their walking tours around this historic temple that was once reserved for emperors. Using a handheld projector, they'll trace its journey from imperial altar to the cultural landmark it is today. If you're not able to make it tomorrow, they will be doing another tour on Oct 6 and Oct 25.

The Temple of Heaven by Night Walking Tour will be taking place on Oct 4, Oct 6 and Oct 25, from 6.30pm until 9.30pm. Adult tickets are RMB 300 and child tickets are RMB 150 and can be purchased by scanning the QR code below.
