Fiume Undergoes Renovations and Becomes Mercante

Liangmaqiao Italian restaurant Fiume has recently undergone renovations and officially become Mercante. Fans of Fiume need not worry, as the ownership of the restaurant remains the same, with the name change now aligning it under the Mercante brand. You might remember that last year Mercante officially returned to Beijing, opening up two restaurants.

At this newest branch of Mercante, you can get their usual array of authentic Italian dishes such as the ever-popular Lasagna (RMB 95). A new addition to the restaurant, though, is a brand new brick pizza oven from which they're serving delicious Neapolitan-style pizzas. Options include everything from classic Margherita (RMB 69) to more indulgent offerings like Truffle and Sausage (RMB 95).

COMMUNE Launches New Spring Menu

A few weeks ago, COMMUNE launched their spring menu, which features numerous new, fresh and colorful dishes. As big burger and pizza fans here at the Beijinger, we're particularly excited about the new Wagyu Beef Burger with Cheese Butter Sauce, featuring two M-grade wagyu patties topped with molten cheese and crispy onions; and the Beijing Chicken Pizza with Chinese Toon Basil Pesto, a perfect fusion combination of flavors.
Other new dishes include Pan-Fried Salmon with Lily Bulb Salad, Purple Kale and Quinoa Salad and Bruschetta and more. Aside from food they've also added some new drinks to the menu such as a White Chocolate Martini, a Montenegro Negroni and a few different BrewDog craft beers on tap. You can read more details about the spring menu here.
