And just like that, spring has finally poked its little head out. Maybe it’s not exactly the spring we wanted with forecasts of sporadic haze throughout the week, but at least there are these stellar parties going on to keep us engaged in some good, clean nightlife activity.

Mar 17: Celebrate St. Patrick's Day at Slow Boat with a Beijing Car Bomb
Slow Boat celebrates Paddy's Day with car bombs of the drinking variety. A little less combustible than your standard car bomb, also more delicious. If you don't know what a car bomb is, you make one thusly: mix 3/4 of a shot of Jameson with 1/4 shot of Baileys and, for the Beijing twist, drop the concoction into 1/3 pint of Slow Boat's Safe Harbor Imperial Vanilla Stout. Then you drink it all as fast as possible. Free. 5pm-1am. Slow Boat Brewery Taproom
 

Mar 18-20: Caravan 1 Year Anniversary Extravaganza
Eat, listen, drink, and party away the weekend with the only Middle Eastern restaurant with the cojones to provide every possible form of entertainment imaginable all at one delicious space. Expect a variety of musicians playing throughout the weekend including Residence A, Bad Mamasan, and Little Punk, along with enough drink and food specials to put your tastebuds in a tizzy. Mar 18: Bye Bye Disco Presents Edgar Peng
Already active for two decades in Berlin’s electronic music scene, Robert Galic A.K.A. Edgar Peng, will be bringing you an elegant mix of afro-house, hip-hop, and nu-jazz to help you get up on the dance floor and act a fool until the sun comes rears its pretty little head. With the notorious DJ Pei also taking the decks, this will indeed be a night to remember. RMB 50. 10pm. Lantern
 

Mar 18: Antidote presents The Hacker
Prepare to get hacked to pieces by one of the founding figures of the electroclash underground. He will remind you why most ravers from the 90s immediately quit the warehouse scene for this rock, techno hybrid leaving a stockpile of Pop Rings and candy necklaces at convenience stores around the planet. Wear your finest neon and get freaky with this dance-friendly legend. RMB 60. 10pm. Dada
