If you liked ChinaDoll the way it was, you’ll be happy to know that its recent renovation was more tummy tuck than facelift. It’s a smaller venue now, comprising just the lounge and the VIP room, but with clever spacing they have created an ample dance floor without sacrificing seating or that “club” feeling.

If the dance floor becomes a bit much, relax with a view over Sanlitun or ponder your reflection in the mirrored ceiling. Cocktails start at RMB 50 and a Tsingtao at RMB 25. Try the signature cocktail, Love Me Below (RMB 60) – the red pepper garnish is a big clue as to its flavor. Time will tell if ChinaDoll’s international DJs make the revamped venue as hot as its cocktails.
